71: The Liberation — a tactical game of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War
Lead a section of Muktijoddha — the freedom fighters of the Mukti Bahini — through the Liberation War of 1971. Ambush Pakistan Army convoys on the Comilla road, move unseen through bamboo and paddy, carry the wounded to safety and bring your fighters home to camp. How it plays
- Command the whole section from above, or take one fighter in third person and switch between them.
- Stealth matters: crouch, go prone and take cover — the enemy sees, hears and raises the alarm, and a reaction force comes.
- Weapons of 1971: the Lee-Enfield .303, Sten, Bren, Type 56, Mills bomb and road charges.
- Civilians are protected: harming a non-combatant is never rewarded, and no child can ever be harmed.
- Four difficulty levels, from Prashikkhan (training) to Bir Sreshtho; keyboard play, subtitles and accessibility options.
The history
The Liberation War began on 26 March 1971, after the Pakistan Army's Operation Searchlight, and ended with the surrender in Dhaka on 16 December 1971 — Victory Day. The Mukti Bahini fought across eleven sectors. Every mission comes with a sourced Codex entry; atrocities are told in the Codex, never played. The playable fighters are fictional composites.

মুক্তিবাহিনীর একদল মুক্তিযোদ্ধাকে নেতৃত্ব দিন ১৯৭১ সালের মুক্তিযুদ্ধে। কুমিল্লা সড়কে পাকিস্তানি সেনাবাহিনীর কনভয়ে অ্যামবুশ করুন, বাঁশঝাড় আর ধানখেতের আড়ালে চুপিসারে এগিয়ে যান, আহত সহযোদ্ধাকে নিরাপদে সরিয়ে নিন, আর দলকে ক্যাম্পে ফিরিয়ে আনুন। ব্রাউজারে বিনামূল্যে খেলুন — বাংলা ও ইংরেজিতে।
যেভাবে খেলবেন
- ওপর থেকে পুরো দল পরিচালনা করুন, অথবা একজন যোদ্ধাকে তৃতীয় দৃষ্টিতে নিয়ন্ত্রণ করুন এবং যোদ্ধা বদলান।
- লুকিয়ে থাকা জরুরি: বসে পড়ুন, শুয়ে পড়ুন, আড়াল নিন — শত্রু দেখে, শোনে, সতর্ক সংকেত বাজায়, আর সাহায্যকারী বাহিনী আসে।
- ১৯৭১ সালের অস্ত্র: লি-এনফিল্ড .৩০৩, স্টেন, ব্রেন, টাইপ ৫৬, মিলস বোমা ও সড়কে পাতা বিস্ফোরক।
- বেসামরিক মানুষ সুরক্ষিত: নিরস্ত্র মানুষের ক্ষতি কখনো পুরস্কৃত হয় না, আর কোনো শিশুর কখনো ক্ষতি করা যায় না।
- চারটি কঠিনতার স্তর — প্রশিক্ষণ থেকে বীরশ্রেষ্ঠ; কিবোর্ডে খেলা, সাবটাইটেল ও সহজলভ্যতার সুবিধা।
ইতিহাস
পাকিস্তানি সেনাবাহিনীর অপারেশন সার্চলাইটের পর ১৯৭১ সালের ২৬ মার্চ মুক্তিযুদ্ধ শুরু হয়, আর ১৬ ডিসেম্বর ১৯৭১ — বিজয় দিবসে — ঢাকায় আত্মসমর্পণের মধ্য দিয়ে শেষ হয়। মুক্তিবাহিনী এগারোটি সেক্টরে যুদ্ধ করেছিল। প্রতিটি মিশনের সঙ্গে আছে সূত্রসহ কোডেক্স; নৃশংসতার কথা কোডেক্সে বলা হয়েছে — কখনো খেলার অংশ হিসেবে নয়। খেলার যোদ্ধারা কাল্পনিক চরিত্র।
